How to Use the App

When you first select the VOIspeed App, you see a window to enter the user name and password.  Please enter those stored on the phone system when your extension was created (or the one you personalised after the first login on your User Interface).  With this information, the APP will connect to your UCloud phone system and allow integration with your extension.  Please select also the language: English or Italian.

The bar above the home page is fixed and is shown on all the windows, with the following features:

• User status:  the icon with user status is clickable and allows you to choose your current status: Present, Do Not Disturb, or Absent or Log Out;
• User info:  where the name; and extension of the user is listed;
• Device in use: displays the mobile device currently in use.

The Settings icon provides access to an additional settings menu from which you can:

• Choose the device used for an outgoing call
• Reject the call on busy
• Use the mobile for direct incoming calls (You would like to receive the calls, if you have a DDI number)
• Use the mobile for group incoming calls (You would like to receive the calls, if you are part of a hunt group)

 

The first window after the App login will show you a series of icons illustrating the features available when using this mobile extension:

Phone icon is obviously for all those functions linked to the phone.  These include:

• User list
• Phone book with both contacts shared across the company and those stored in your mobile phone. Here you can also make any company contact as your favourite;
• List of all missed calls, together with the list of all inbound and outbound calls
• Keypad for making specific calls not linked to the previous ones.
• Chat widget identified by the icon has the Chat history feature activated already. This button enables you to a start new chat or group chats.

International calling from your VOIspeed App

When you make a call with the App, it is actually the phone system calling you.  When you then call a number (National or International) it is the phone server making the call, therefore all charges are applied to the company bill and not your mobile.

If you are using the App from another country whether you are charged or not depends on your mobile provider and how they charge for roaming calls.

Setting up your VOIspeed App

Download the App by searching “VOIspeed” on the Apple Store or on the Google Play Store.

SIP Settings: 

Click settings & then SIP. Inside the filed “Digitmap Impossible Match” enter “2” (by default this value is set to 0)

Remove all the data if any inside the “Digitmap” so it should display as a clear white box

 

Logging into your Polycom’s GUI

Log into your Polycom’s GUI interface via the associated IP Address by pressing “Menu -> Status -> Network -> TCP/IP Parameters”

Now access your web browser and enter the IP address inside the web URL section.

Prompted to login you can gather these details from us at VOIspeed

 

Application Settings

Click Settings & then Applications. Enable “offhook” (3rd box from the far right hand side)
To the left hand side you need to enter the following information:

In order to use your wireless Platronics properly with VOIspeed you will need to follow the below instructions.

GUI / Agent
Platronics D100 Driver

1)Install the 6.5.19 GUI Install (making sure you also check when prompted to install the User Agent)

2) Plug in the USB dongle into an available USB slot. It will then install the windows drivers (incorrect ones) as default

3) Right click “My computer” & click on “Device manager”, under “Sound,video & game controllers” right click on “Platronics D100” & click Uninstall

4) Remove the USB dongle from the USB slot

5) Install the Platronics D100 Driver (link is listed above)

6) Once the new drivers are installed, put the dongle back into the USB socket

7) Launch the user agent & enter the correct credentials (varies depending on the users extension & username)

8)The device should be connected & registered

The next step is Registering the dongle with the headset

1. Press the end button on the dongle (sticks out at the end) twice. This will make the dongle blink red and green (meaning your entering into pairing mode)
2. On the headset,hold down the volume button for 3 seconds. Give it around 5-10 seconds and you should see the dongle turn to a solid green state (once paired properly)
3. Launch the VOIspeed GUI & then login as normal (leaving the user agent running in the background) & then proceed to making a test call to an outbound number

Troubleshooting issues

If their is no sound, then quit all the applications (GUI & User agent, making sure no background processes are running such as agent.exe or voispeedgui.exe), disconnect the dongle.
Then re-enter the dongle, launch the user agent and validate the green light with the syncing (as shown above)

If the above doesn’t work, then proceed to reinstalling the drivers via the link at the top of this page by “Platronics”. What can happen is Windows replaces the correct drivers for it’s own.
