You can reset or restart the Polycom phone by using multiple combinations of keys from the phone.
Please see the instructions below to reset/restart the phone:
RESTART PHONE:
When you restart the phone and if there is provisioning server available then the phone will try to download the latest firmware/configuration file, if it is available on the server.
- IP6060 Phone: Press and hold the Volume-, Volume +, Hold, and Speakerphone keys simultaneously.
- Phones IP6310 / 6410 : Press and hold the keys 0, 1 and 3 simultaneously.
- IP6500 Phone : Press and hold the keys 0, 1 and 3 simultaneously.
- Sound station IP5000: Press and hold the star *, #, Volume-, and Volume + keys simultaneously.
RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS
When you reset the phone to factory settings then it deletes all the parameters, flash memory, config file, log files and hidden data from the phone.
Below are the instructions to reset or restart the phone:
- IP6060 Phone :Press and hold 1, 3, 5, 7 keys simultaneously and enter the password.
- Phones IP6310 / 6410:Press and hold 1, 3, 5 keys simultaneously and enter the password.
- IP6500 Phone : Press and hold 1, 3, 5 keys simultaneously and enter the password.
- Sound station IP5000 : Press and hold 1, 3, 5, 7 keys simultaneously and enter the password.
Note: If you forget your administrator password for the phone, then you can reset the password by following the instructions given in the Reset admin password of the Polycom phone section under the Knowledge base.
